Heather's graduation
The sailing weekends on Easy 2
Heather, amphibious, snorkling at Scorpion
Will in his dinghy, warm and dry
The Lake Mead houseboat, a troubled crew
Will and Heather's long dinghy ride
one lazy late afternoon
The Baja excursion
mad dash to Catavina
madder dash for San Juanico
Heather bathed in sand, digging for clams
Will overseeing flat tires
The truck trip to Panamint:
at our Thanksgiving campfire,
Heather longed for this day
Will's hunt for her diamond still secret
They both seem transformed by the ring
its circle of love and commitment
their joyous, maturing love
And now this happiest day:
our loved and loving, lovely children
two families now made one
